I have always felt a special connection to stories, especially those that do not reveal themselves completely, the ones that hide secrets and emotions beneath the surface.
Before I began writing, I built my career in the film industry as a location scout. I have worked on international productions such as Cruella, Slow Horses, and The Witcher, exploring places filled with history and narrative possibilities. That experience deepened my sensitivity to spaces, atmosphere, and the small details that bring a scene to life.
That visual perspective now accompanies me in writing. I am drawn to creating stories that are not only read, but also felt and seen, places with character, complex figures, and emotions that unfold almost silently.
Under my professional name in the audiovisual industry, Esther Aja, I continue to develop my work in the world of cinema. Writing came later, as a more intimate way of telling stories.
My first novel, What Revenge Hides, is set in 18th century London and was born from that union of the visual and the narrative. It is a story of secrets, danger, and intense emotions, where nothing is exactly as it seems.
I write about characters who face hidden truths, difficult choices, and feelings that have the power to change everything.
